Celebrating the cinematic and the culinary talents of women from Iran, KinoVino teams up with cook and author, Yasmin Khan, to create a sensual night of Iranian food and arthouse cinema. A traditional Iranian feast will be preceded by a screening of an award-winning captivating drama, Women without Men, by US-based Iranian feminist artist, Shirin Neshat. The film is an adaptation of Shahrnush Parsipur’s magical realist novel that tells a story of four women, from entirely different backgrounds, who come together to challenge and change their male-dominated politically turbulent world.

KinoVino will be welcoming food writer and cook, Yasmin Khan, to create a luscious Persian feast. Her debut cook book Saffron Tales is filled with truly beautiful and nostalgic recollection of her life and of the community in Iran, not to mention the mouthwatering recipes. Join the team down at Kino Vino for one night only of exquisite cinema and beautiful food.
