Join John Stirling, Founder of award-winning Arbikie Spirits for an intimate evening at Oblix at The Shard. Featuring an expertly curated four-course dinner designed by executive chef Marcus Eaves, paired with one-off cocktails made with spirits from the Highland estate.
The exclusive dinner will celebrate the release of the Arbikie Estate Highland Rye, the first rye whisky to come out of Scotland for over 100 years. In celebration of the occasion Marcus Eaves has devised a unique menu, intended to heighten the flavours of each bespoke cocktail, which have been created by bar manager, Aaron Masonde, and the Oblix bar team. John and Aaron will be on hand to personally guide guests through the array of cocktails on offer.
You'll be greeted on arrival with an aperitif of ‘Banana’ (Arbikie Highland Rye, coconut water, tonka, Angostura bitters) before being seated to enjoy a starter of Seasonal vegetable salad with goat’s curd and hot smoked salmon, accompanied by ‘Lemongrass’ (Arbikie AK’S gin, sparkling wine, silver shimer). Grilled langoustines and chorizo with sweet peppers, garlic and olive oil mayonnaise will follow, complemented by the fresh flavours of ‘Tonic’ (Arbikie potato vodka, homemade tonic, botanical infusion).
The main-event will see ‘Hibiscus’ (Arbikie Highland rye whisky, Oblix sweet vermouth, Amaro, chocolate bitters) artfully enhanced by Osso buco served with soft polenta, morel mushrooms and wild garlic pesto. The evening will conclude with a creamy dessert of Vanilla custard tart and rhubarb ripple ice cream, paired with the fruity ‘Passionfruit’ (Arbikie strawberry vodka, lemon, spiced mango, marigold).
