Strazzanti have collaborated with Campari and Gin O’ndina to create a four night only Italian feast of epic proportions. To coincide with Negroni Week (24th-30th June 2019), and to mark 100 years of the Negroni, east London drinking den TT Liquor will host Strazzanti’s Sicily inspired supper club for an exclusive four-course dinner, with cocktail pairings curated by TT Liquor, and bespoke installations from McQueens Florist.
The Sicilian Supper Club will be an intimate and relaxed setting to celebrate the evolution of the Negroni. In a nod to the iconic cocktail, first invented in Caffe Casoni in Florence, Italy, illustrious McQueens Florist will transform the space into a botanical wonderland, filled with delicate trailing foliage, potted herbs, prickly pear plants, and a gorgeous window display of lush greenery.
Ex Dorchester Chef, Sister & Co-founder Emilia Strazzanti has created the four-course menu that best reflects her Sicilian heritage through her cooking and experiences using Sicilian ingredients and authentic cooking methods. The menu will highlight the best of this season’s produce, along with showcasing the fresh, diverse and yet the simplicity of mediterranean flavours from the island. Each course will be paired with a different O’ndina and Campari cocktail, carefully curated by TT Liquor’s expert mixologists to reflect the evolution of the timeless Negroni. The evening will begin with an assortment of Aperitivo and Stuzzichini, including Zucchine with Almonds, and heavenly deep-fried Primo Sale cheese, with honey and Sicilian oregano, which will be enjoyed with an O’ndina Basil G&T. Other antipasti plates will include crowd-pleasing wild fennel, pork belly and mozzarella croquettes, Capulitatu & fresh tomatoes with Sicilian oregano & fresh buffalo Ricotta cheese; served with E5’s Hackney Wild Bread. The sharing plates will be served with an Americano - a Campari, sweet vermouth, and club soda concoction.
Mains will come in the form of the hearty Timballo aubergine alla norma, paired alongside a classic Negroni. This will be followed by a twist on the bittersweet Italian classic; a Strazzanti Prickly Pear Granite and Negroni Sbagliato, before finishing on a sweet note with a dessert of Strazzanti’s signature Sicilian pistachio tart with lemon.
