Doña is a new pop-up mezcal bar from mezcal enthusiast Thea Cumming, of Dangerous Don, and Lucie Massey, the brains behind Cuppa Gumbo & Slap Ya Papa. Combining mezcal, music and cutting-edge programme of entertainment, the bar’s opening weekend will be a wild Day Of the Dead celebration, with guests encouraged to dress as their favourite female ancestors.
Bold, strong and stylish, this basement bar, whose name refers to the feminine form of ‘Don’, is inspired by the vibrancy of Mexico and the sexiness of a 1920s Harlem jazz club. The bar will feature plush velvet banquet-style seating, atmospheric low lighting and candles, with hues of crimson, scarlet and pink throughout.
They will serve a small but mighty selection of high quality Mezcal cocktails, including the Fiorella - Dangerous Don Mezcal, Virtuous Ginger, Supasawa, Agave, Lime Wheel and Coffee Beans and the Doña - Dangerous Don Mezcal, Martini Ambrato, Campari.
Live music will take place every night, with a spotlight on female performers.
