To mark 100 years since Prohibition came into force, which inadvertently gave rise to the speakeasy - Barts is celebrating this anniversary by throwing one hell of a shindig in his recently renovated drinking den, tucked away in an apartment building on Sloane Avenue.
Based on the tale of fictitious boxer-turned-gangster ‘Uncle Barts’, who rose to infamy on the Chicago scene during the Prohibition era, wants to honour of 100 years since the law that famously, yet unintentionally, conceived the speakeasy.
They've teamed up with a lawless liquor supplier to host a bootlegging bash, complete with illicit concoctions, swinging live music and an incredibly realistic police raid.
