Fans of the popular Bethnal Green beer mecca, Mother Kelly’s, can now rejoice as there is yet another location to go and enjoy the laid-back service, delicious food platters, and rotating taps of beer that have made the original location a success. Mother Kelly’s SE1 opened earlier this summer tucked into the railway arches on Albert Embankment, a stone’s throw from Vauxhall station. With 33 rotating taps, the SE1 location isn’t just for beer lovers; at least 5 of the taps are dedicated to cider, wine, and even popular cocktails like the Aperol Spritz and the Negroni. And just like the original E2 location, there are fridges full of beers to take away – local favourites like Pressure Drop and Kernal can be found alongside craft imports like brand-new-to-the-UK-market The Garden Brewery from Croatia. While tasty nibbles and charcuterie platters are served all week long at Mother Kelly’s SE1, guests wanting something more substantial will be glad to know that food trucks featured at the E2 location will also be making an appearance on the weekends. But the best part about the new outpost south of the river…there is not 1 but 2 outdoor areas to sip your Saison in the sun! With so much on offer there is no better place to spend the remaining summer months.
